Dr. Abdul Arain, MD is a fellow-ship trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon in the North Jersey area and recently completed training at New York University Hospital for Orthopaedic Surgery. In addition to a medical degree, Dr. Arain also has a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences, a Bachelors of Science in Biotechnology, a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Minor in Anthropology. Over the past 6-years Dr. Arain has taken part in over 60 peer reviewed publications/abstracts in Academic Journals and continues research in advanced endoscopic and minimally invasive spine surgery. In additional to spine surgery, Dr. Arain also offers treatment for the majority of general Orthopaedic pathologies.
In his words: “My goal is to treat each patient as I would my own mom or dad. I want to get to know each patient on an individual level and get to know what truly is bothering them. I will try all non-surgical options first and recommend surgery only if the patient truly needs it. We then work as a team to formulate the best individualized treatment plan”.
Dr. Arain is also fluent in Urdu/Hindi and Punjabi.
