His journey in healthcare began with obtaining his medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a Residency at North Shore – LIJ Hospital at Plainview. Notably, he served as Chief Resident during the 2007-2008 term.
Dr. Savarino’s dedication to Sports Medicine led him to complete a fellowship at North Shore – LIJ Plainview, where he actively participated in the care of NCAA colleges, local high schools, and major events like the NYC Marathon and Golden Gloves Boxing. His hands-on approach, both on the sidelines and in the training room, showcased his commitment to treating and preventing sports-related injuries.
Dr. Savarino’s commitment to excellence is exemplified by his achievement of the Registered in Musculoskeletal® (RMSK®) sonography certification—a testament to his dedication to best practices and patient safety in musculoskeletal ultrasound. His extensive procedural experience, including Tenex, and ultrasound-guided injections, earned him recognition as one of the most experienced practitioners in his field.
In line with his pursuit of cutting-edge knowledge, Dr. Savarino expanded his scope of practice to include Age Management Medicine and Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement. He underwent extensive training in these areas to provide advanced and comprehensive care to his patients.
