Dr. Ankur Aggarwal is a board-certified vascular surgeon highly specialized in all areas of vascular surgery, with a particular focus on the treatment of varicose vein disease and venous insufficiency. He is distinguished by fellowship training in both vascular surgery and critical care medicine from the University of Virginia. Prior to that he completed a surgical residency at the renowned William Beaumont School of Medicine.
His prestigious achievements include a Post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) along with numerous publications in vascular medicine.
As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Aggarwal is uniquely qualified to treat both simple and complex venous disease. He is one of the few vascular surgeons in New Jersey with endovascular training and fully dedicated as a vein specialist treating varicose veins. He is specialized in minimally-invasive techniques for vein treatment including radiofrequency (RF) vein ablation, non-thermal vein treatments including the use of intravascular medical adhesives, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, and phlebectomy. He also provides a critical gap in care with expert second opinions for patients suffering with recurrence of vein disease and the ability to perform venograms and intra-vascular ultrasound (IVUS). Dr. Aggarwal is also certified as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI), promoting his commitment to the highest standard of patient safety and outcomes using ultrasound guided techniques.
